Prestige, celebrity, fame – these aren’t words you’ll hear Tommy Blanchard, Jr. use when reflecting on his life in business.

So when this humble man was inducted into the CSRA Hall of Fame, a designation held by only 30 business leaders in our area, he accepted the honor with the humility and grace we’ve come to expect from members of the Blanchard family. Junior Achievement, a nonprofit dedicated to preparing young people to succeed in a global economy, established their network of regional halls of fame to recognize icons of commerce and industry across the country whose leadership and philanthropic pursuits inspire younger generations. It’s only natural that when accepting the award, Blanchard shared the guidance his own father provided to him: “Never lose sight of the fact that a good reputation is the hardest thing to earn and certainly the easiest thing to lose. Work hard, treat people fairly, and things will work out all right.”
